The Addictive Personality: The truth about obsession, addiction and compulsion

Hi 9, We’ve been “blessed” with more passions than we can possibly satisfy. We’ll never have all the food, attention, money, power or prestige we want... ...And if we don’t find a positive outlet for our passions, we’re likely to get addicted. Addictions are everywhere and their devious webs of deceit and destruction affect all of us. We may be familiar with physical addictions – to work, food, cigarettes, alcohol, gambling, sex, etc.  Then there are the emotional addictions – to power, attention and “love.” Wherever we look, we see addictive behavior.
